Originally inspired by my late educator wife's need for artwork for her class newsletters and handouts,
my portfolio of education clip art images grew and evolved over
several years. Eventually it was featured as the Discovery
(Channel) Education Clip Art Gallery
for nearly twenty years.
Most of the images here were originally created and copyrighted way back in the 1990s, when the World Wide Web was still very young.
Back then, computers and modems were painfully slow and storage capacity
(think 250MB hard drives) and applications were quite limited. To make the art
available to as many users as possible, the images were offered as
small, low-resolution GIF and JPG files. |

Discovery no longer hosts the Clip Art Gallery
or licenses my artwork.
However, since I still own the rights, you can still download many of the best whimsical images from
my education clip art galleries for free for education
and noncommercial use here at EducatorClips.com. The artwork featured
in the galleries here has been totally reworked to make the images bigger
and better.
All the artwork was
created by me, illustrator Mark A. Hicks. Please
visit my website at www.MARKiX.net. If you have questions about
the artwork, need a high-resolution version of an image or need to ask permission to use a particular piece of art
for commercial or other for-profit use, contact
info here.
